Specialty Solutions

Unusual water problems
need custom solutions.

Sulfur smells, tannin staining, PFAS contamination, bacteria — these aren't one-size-fits-all problems. We test first, then build the right solution for your specific water.

What We Treat

Specialty water problems we solve

Sulfur / Hydrogen Sulfide Removal

That rotten egg smell is hydrogen sulfide gas — common in Oklahoma well water. We use oxidizing filtration and aeration to eliminate it completely at the source.

Common symptoms

  • Rotten egg smell from hot water
  • Smell stronger when water heater runs
  • Sulfur odor at all taps

High Iron & Manganese

Iron above 0.3 ppm causes orange staining. Manganese above 0.05 ppm causes black staining. We test exact levels and install the right oxidizing filter or greensand system.

Common symptoms

  • Orange stains in sinks, tubs, toilets
  • Black or brown staining
  • Metallic taste in water

Tannin Treatment

Tannins from decaying organic matter turn water yellow or tea-colored. Specialty anion exchange resin removes tannins effectively — something standard softeners can't do.

Common symptoms

  • Yellow or tea-colored water
  • Staining on laundry and fixtures
  • Earthy or musty taste

Nitrate Reduction

High nitrates are a serious concern for infants and pregnant women. Found in agricultural areas across Oklahoma. Reverse osmosis or ion exchange removes nitrates effectively.

Common symptoms

  • Well near agricultural land
  • Concern for infants or pregnant women
  • High nitrate test results

Bacteria & Coliform

Well water can harbor bacteria after flooding, nearby septic issues, or aging well casings. UV sterilization and shock chlorination are our primary tools.

Common symptoms

  • Well water with unknown history
  • Recent flooding near well
  • Positive bacteria test result

PFAS / Forever Chemicals

Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances are increasingly found in Oklahoma water supplies. High-capacity activated carbon or reverse osmosis removes PFAS effectively.

Common symptoms

  • Concern about PFAS in local water
  • Near military base or industrial area
  • Recent PFAS advisory in your area
